PETERBOROUGH, N.H. Yvette H. Morin, 81, died July 12 at home. Born and educated in Nashua, she lived in New Jersey seven years before returning to Peterborough in 1991.
She owned May-Mor Kindergarten in Peterborough, retiring in 1973 after 25 years, and had worked at Derby’s department store in Peterborough and Nashua Mills.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Church, its Women’s Guild and crafts group, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Cheney-Armstrong Post 5 of Peterborough.
Daughter of the late Alfred and Ida Gendron Gelinas and wife of the late Alfred J. Morin, she is survived by two daughters, Gisele A. Meader of Lambertville, N.J., and Teresa C. Davis of Wilton; two sons, Alfred J. Morin Jr. of Rochester and Peter C. Morin of Surry, formerly of Lambertville; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Agnes J. Morin of Peterborough; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at St. Peter’s Church, 18 Vine St., with the Rev. Paul Fohlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St., Jaffrey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at HCS, P.O. Box 496, Peterborough, N.H. 03458.
