The Music of Invention series will present Bruce Gremo on Shakuhachi and Laptops tonight at 8 p.m. at the Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts, 20 Third Ave., Long Branch. Gremo, an electroacoustic flutist, solo performer, composer and improviser based in New York City has a studio, Suddensite, in Lower Manhattan, and is an important figure in the downtown electroacoustic improvisation and computer music scene. Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies” is being presented at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center at the Jewish Community Center, 100 Grant Ave., Deal Park. In celebration of Mozart’s 250th birthday, The Arcadian Chorale will present “Mozart Plus One” May 20 at 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 247 Broad St., Red Bank. Under the direction of Marina Alexander, the chorus will perform the Mozart “Requiem” plus excerpts from the “Requiem” of Joseph Eybler, the composer first entrusted with completing Mozart’s masterpiece.
