   BORDENTOWN CITY — Marilyn June Aronson, 54, died Sept. 25 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in the Bordentown area for 30 years.
   She is survived by her parents, James and Hazel Bradley Lotz of Queens, N.Y.; a brother, Robert Lotz of Queens; and her fiancé, James O’Neal of Bordentown City.
   Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. Michael Burns officiating.
   Burial was in Bordentown Cemetery.

Lorraine S. Salaga

   FLORENCE — Lorraine S. Weaver Salaga, 56, died Sept. 28 at home.
   Born in Trenton, she was raised in Fieldsboro and lived in Roebling for 42 years.
   She was the owner of the Empress Beauty Salon in Roebling for the last 30 years.
   She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
   She was a former member of Fieldsboro American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 349.
   She enjoyed camping and was a Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants fan.
   Wife of the late George Salaga Jr., special friend and companion of the late Robert Dennison, and sister of the late Stanley "Butch" Weaver, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Frank Miller of Roebling and Sherry and Tom McLarney of Delran; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Salaga III and Steven and Brenda Salaga, all of Roebling; a brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and JoAnn Weaver of Bordentown; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Rosemary, Tyler and Tara Salaga, Jessica and Jacklyn Miller and Emily McLarney; several aunts and uncles including Elnora and Gene Colvell of Burlington; and other relatives.
   The funeral was held at Dennison Funeral Home, Florence, with the Rev. Lawrence Wolf, pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, officiating.
   Burial was in St. Nicholas Cemetery.

Richard S. Haun

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — Richard S. Haun, 53, died Sept. 25 in Toms River.
   Born in Newark, he lived in Bordentown for two years.
   Mr. Haun worked with Verizon and its predecessor telephone company for 23 years.
   He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, serving at Midway Island.
   He is survived by his wife, Linda Haun; two sons, Matthew and Joseph of Randolph; four nieces; and a nephew.
   The funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, with the Rev. Patrick J. Castles, pastor of St. John’s Church, officiating.
   Burial was in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township.

Caroline J. Newman

   HAMILTON — Caroline J. Mortorano Newman, 85, died Sept. 26 at Arcadia Nursing Home.
   Born in Bayonne, she lived most of her life in the Trenton area.
   Daughter of the late Bernardo and Rosalie DiFranco Mortorano and wife of the late Raymond A. Newman, she is survived by a brother, Michael Santo of Bordentown; two sisters, Gennie Angelucci of Trenton and Mona Welsh of Hamilton; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Joan and Richard Nathan of Robbinsville, Carl and Jean Newman of Whiting, Judy Newman of Solebury, Pa., and Pat Sousso of Trenton; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
George E. Blaner

   FORT MYERS, Fla. — George Eugene Blaner, 81, died Sept. 21 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.
   Born in Trenton, he lived in Washington, D.C., and Florence before moving to Fort Myers.
   Mr. Blaner was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as an intelligence research specialist from the Department of Defense in Washington.
   He was a member of the Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Roebling, Church of the Resurrection, Fort Myers, and the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.
   Son of the late Joseph and Mary Lencsis Blaner, he is survived by his wife, Helen Kleminshky Blaner; a sister, Mary Wiragh of Allentown, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Roebling, with the Rev. Giles Barreda officiating.
   Entombment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.
John Edward Kelly

   PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP — John Edward Kelly, 81, died Sept. 25.
   Born in Cornwall, N.Y., he lived in Syracuse, N.Y. for seven years before moving to Browns Mills in 1970.
   Mr. Kelly retired as a master sergeant after more than 21 years with the Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
   He was a member and past master of Pemberton Masonic Lodge 199 and a member of the Syracuse Elks Club.
   He enjoyed fishing.
   He is survived by his wife, Margot L. Tobus Kelly; a daughter, Edda Palmer of Jacobstown; two sons, Edward of Tabernacle and Stephen of Browns Mills; a sister, Marie Levine of Connecticut; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Memorial services were held at Lankenau Funeral Home, Pemberton.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Eleanor C. Mullen

   TRENTON — Eleanor C. Mullen, 87, died Sept. 22 at Mercer County Geriatric Center, Hamilton.
   Born in Florence, she was a longtime area resident.
   She graduated from Burlington High School and retired as a trainer with Weber’s Training School for Dogs.
   She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel C. and Deborah Roger Mullen, and a brother, Daniel J. Mullen.
   The funeral was private.
   Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
   Arrangements were by the Hartmann Funeral Home of Bordentown.
Carl T. Liedtka Jr.

   PLUMSTED — Carl T. Liedtka Jr., 79, died Sept. 28 at his daughter’s home in New Egypt.
   Born in Bordentown, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. Liedtka was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of Local 825 Operator and Engineers Union.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
   He was a life member of American Legion Post 455, New Egypt and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
   He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian Stevens Liedtka; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Franklin Purcell and Marian and Eddie Phillips of New Egypt and Helen and Frank Sexton of Sykesville; a sister, Barbara Moschera of Cookstown; two brothers, Adam of Sykesville and Elmer of New Egypt; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, with the Rev. William Walker officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Alice C. Newton

   TRENTON — Alice C. Grabowski Newton, 92, died Sept. 27 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Poland, she was a longtime area resident.
   Mrs. Newton retired from the Trenton Board of Education.
   Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Zadekowicz Grabowski, wife of the late Albert C. Newton, mother of the late Rose Cuccagna, sister of the late Sophie Franco, Ann Wiedecker, Leon and Edward Grabowski and grandmother of the late William Cuccagna, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Ann Cullari of Hamilton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Robert Fay of Bordentown and Dorothy and Joseph Dippolito of Robbinsville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Bertha Deinhardt and Helen Chech of Ewing; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Selma Grabowski of Whiting; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude and Rose Grabowski; a son-in-law, Zeliante (William) Cuccagna; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Kutch Funeral Home.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Magdalena

Wojcik Lesniak

   TRENTON — Magdalena M. Wojcik Lesniak, 73, died Sept. 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Mala Francova Poprad, Slovakia, she came to the United States in 1984 and lived in Trenton.
   Mrs. Lesniak retired in 1996 after 11 years with Carter-Wallace, Trenton.
   She previously retired after 30 years with Nowy Sacz Public Hospital in Poland.
   Daughter of the late Joseph and Rozalia Voscek Wojcik, wife of the late Czeslaw Lesniak and mother of the late Boguslawa Baczyk, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Irena C. and John Mayka of Atlanta; a son and daughter-in-law, Janusz C. and Ann Lesniak of Hamilton; six grandchildren, David Mayka and wife Amy, Jeffrey Mayka, Arthur and Eric Baczyk and Jacob and Alexander Lesniak; a son-in-law, Wojciech Baczyk of Chesterfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Jozef and Waleria Wojcik of Podegrodzie, Poland; a sister, Rozalia Pawlowska of Nowy Sacz; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Winowicz Funeral Chapel.
   Funeral Liturgy was celebrated at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing.
Pauline Springfield

   BOAZ, Ala. — Pauline Caraccio Springfield, 68, died Sept. 29 at home.
   Formerly of Trenton, she lived in Alabama for 20 years.
   Daughter of the late Santo and Josephine Caraccio, she is survived by her husband, Farris Springfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Standhal and Susan Springfield of Boaz; a brother, Philip Caraccio of Trenton; and five sisters, Mary Festa and Rose Johnson, both of Trenton, Lena Bergen of Las Vegas, Lucy Smith of Yardville and Rita Weaver of Fieldsboro.
   The funeral was held in Boaz.
