Thomas McMahon, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Monroe in 1951.
He was employed as a truck driver for Maritime Electric Co. in New York City before retiring in 1990 and was a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union 807.
He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Spotswood.
His wife, Mary McMahon, died Feb. 21 2001.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Connell of Pennsylvania and Arlene Smith of Spotswood; three sons, Thomas McMahon of Helmetta and James McMahon and Daniel McMahon, both of Pennsylvania; a sister, Molly Hagerty of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 21, at Rezem Funeral Home in East Brunswick, followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood. Burial was at Park Cemetery in South Brunswick.
