Program will discuss ‘Jews in the Civil War’

The Brandeis University National Women’s Committee (BUNWC) Tri- County Chapter will hold its next meeting at 2 p.m. March 18 at the Hamilton Public Library, 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. Way, Hamilton Township. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.

The guest speaker, Rabbi Eric Wisnia of Congregation Beth Chaim, West Windsor, will discuss “Jews in the Civil War,” specifically the roles of civilians, patriots and pacifists, topics he has researched at great length, according to a press release.

This spring, BUNWC Tri-County Chapter will offer a wide range of activities, which include study groups, films of social significance, community service projects, discussions about contemporary books, trips to museums and provocative thinking programs that reflect the ideals of social justice and academic excellence.
