BASE Camp is a full-day camp and offers a multi-faceted program designed specifically for
your child. The program is organized around weekly themes with related minds-on, hands-on, creative and physical

Beginner to intermediate swimmers receive two to four hours of daily instruction by certified
swim instructors. Children also participate in structured gym games, learn technique and style through the

Led by a certified biology and earth science teacher or student, campers will explore various
fields of science and nature through hands-on experiments, films, discussions, outdoor excursions and field
trips. Science explorations include: simple chemistry experiments, making rock crystals, finding fossils, analyzing
creekwater, and more. Campers will go to the Griggstown Canal one day to gain real-life science/nature experience.
Upon completion of these projects, campers develop self-esteem and respect for the environment.

Summer Parks and KinderParks are outdoor programs with a wide variety of recreational activities
to help pass those long hot days of summer. Arts and crafts, board games, quiet games, active (playground games)
sports (volleyball, whiffleball, basketball, kickball, etc.) form the basis for the playground-park program.
Theme days, special activities and events are planned by the staff for each day. On very hot days, in the afternoons,
water play games or sprinklers are used to cool off.

Courses: Pop Art Sculpture, Summer Theater for Kids, Mythical Creatures and Sculpture for
Little Hands. The Cranbury Arts Council’s Summer Workshops for Young Artists is a program designed to introduce
the children to a variety of art mediums and allow them to express themselves creatively. The Pop Art Sculpture
class will work and explore modeling and construction in the styles of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Claus
Oldenberg. The Summer Theater for Kids class is a fun-filled introduction to musical theater and the stage.
The children will audition, act, sing, dance and design costumes and props. At the end of the two-week session
there will be a final performance held for family and friends. The Mythical Creature class will create collages
of mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons and griffins in the style of famous children’s book author Eric
Carlyle. The Sculpture for Little Hands class is specially designed to help young children explore the textural
and modeling possibilities of clay by using pinch, roll and coil techniques. Classes are in one-week sessions
in the afternoon from 1-3 p.m. The average weekly tuition for each half-day session is $100.
