Trafton Tredick, 87, died Sunday at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Haddonfield, he lived in Pennington since 1943.
He graduated from Pennington School for Boys in 1933 and was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as an instructor at Fleet Sound School in Key West, Fla. He retired in 1976 as an engineer from New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. after 36 years.
He was a member of Pennington Presbyterian Church, director of the Alumni Council of the Pennington School and volunteered at The Medical Center at Princeton 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Curtis Tredick; a son and daughter-in-law, Trafton and Karen Tredick of Denver; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Schaub of Pennington; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Catherine Tredick and J.D. and Scott Schaub; and a sister, Margaret Tredick of Gwynedd, Pa.
Private funeral will be at Blackwell Memorial Home with the Revs. Jack Cooper and William McQuoid of Pennington Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Pennington Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
