Isadore "Duke” Aroniss of Lawrence died Tuesday, March 26, at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
He graduated from Lehigh University and owned Trenton Furniture Co. many years before retiring. He was a member of the Trenton Club and enjoyed tennis, ballroom dancing, equestrian sports, theater and the arts. He was an Eagle Scout.
Brother of the late Ethel Stone and Shirley Reiner, he is survived by his partner of 16 years, Helen K. Beebe of Lawrence; a stepson and his wife, Stephen and Kathleen Kaytus of Budd Lake; a grandson; a cousin, Betty Adelstein; and four nieces and a nephew.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road.
