Raymond F. Lauricella Sr. died Friday at Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a longtime Pennington area resident.
After graduating in 1948 from Central High School in Hopewell Township, he tried out for the New York Yankees baseball team.
Before his retirement in 1994, he was a maintenance supervisor for Princeton Theological Seminary.
Son of the late Onofrio and Beatrice P. Lauricella and brother of the late Andrew and John Lauricella, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose M. Burger Lauricella; a daughter, Joan Lauricella D’Ottavio and husband James D’Ottavio of Hopewell; two sons, Raymond F. Lauricella Jr. and wife Karen Evanko Lauricella and Glenn R. Lauricella of Pennington; a sister, Frances Gilligo of Chesterfield; two brothers, Vincent R. Lauricella and wife Eleanor of Pennington and Carl Lauricella and wife Marylou of Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren, Deana, Dorian, Diana and Denyse D’Ottavio, Raymond F. Lauricella III and wife Tracy and Justin W. Lauricella; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Chapel, Eglantine Avenue, Pennington.
Burial will be in Harbourton Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington.
