MONROE: Bandits hit 27 cars in a night

Police are investigating burglaries

   MONROE — Township Police Department detectives are investigating burglaries of 27 parked cars that occurred in the Heritage Chase development off Buckelew Avenue late on the night of Aug. 8 and early the following morning.
   Police said most of the cars were unlocked.
   Cars parked outside 18 residences on adjacent streets Talmadge Drive, Regent Drive, Drummond Way and Evans Way were entered.
   Police said the burglars took a variety of things, including compact discs, stereos and radar detectors.
   Police have said that anyone with information about unusual activity in the Heritage Chase development during the night of Aug. 8 and morning hours of Aug. 9 should contact Detective Richard Stemming at (732) 521-0222, ext. 152.
