Mary Groendyke Campbell, 102, of Monroe Village, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, in the Monroe Village Healthcare Center.
Born in Dutch Neck, she was a resident of Cranbury for 54 years. She lived in Rossmoor from 1980 to 1990 and resided in Monroe Village since 1990. Ms. Campbell was a Bookkeeper for the Hightstown Trust Company, Chamberlain and Barclay, and retired from the Francis Dodge Dealer in Hamilton. She was a member of the Cranbury Women’s Club and Past Matron of the Brainerd Chapter of the Eastern Star. Ms. Campbell was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, where she served as an Elder, a Sunday school teacher for 20 years, and was co-president of the Presbyterian Women’s Association.
Her husband, Ernest Campbell Sr., one brother and four sisters, are deceased. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn Cambell and Raymond T. Hoagland Jr. of Rossmoor; one son, Ernest Everett Campbell Jr. of Rossmoor; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in March. The day and time are to announced at a later date. Interment will be private in Brainerd Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbuy, 225 S. Main Street, Cranbury, N.J. 08512. Arrangements are under the direction of A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home in Cranbury.
