A country queen, a marvelous voice.

I neglected to mention last week that one of the great female voices in country music history left us.
June Carter Cash, wife of the legendary Johnny Cash and a masterful singer and songwriter in her own right, died Thursday at age 73.
Herb Sudzin on his Sunday morning Sudzin Country program on WRSU, 88.7 FM, spent about a half hour or so on Ms. Carter’s music, playing several duets with her husband and some tunes she recorded with the Carter Family. Her voice was a marvel.
