Daniel Sweeney

   TITUSVILLE — Daniel J. Sweeney, 73, died Sunday, Nov. 23, at Compassionate Care Hospice, Hamilton.
   Born in Hazleton, Pa., he had resided in Titusville for many years.
   He was a systems analyst for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City.
   He was in the Navy Reserves in the late 1940s.
   He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. George’s Roman Catholic Church in Titusville.
   Son of the late James Leo and Anne Brown Sweeney, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Paterson Sweeney; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Victoria Sweeney of Cranford, N.J.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Thomas Ford of Hamilton, Karen Sweeney of Hamilton, Peggy and James Hollasch of Flemington and Patricia and Richard Tramontana of Ringoes; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rosemary and Stephen Kenney of Lavallette and Margaret Sweeney of Whiting; eight grandchildren, Ryann, Hannah, Daniel, Erin, Daniel, Charlotte, Sydney and Jake; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at the church. Burial was in Harbourton Cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington.

Henrietta Loftus

   EWING — Henrietta Loftus of Ewing died Sunday, Nov. 30, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis.
   Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Loftus spent much of her childhood in Brooklyn and County Mayo, Ireland. She had resided in Ewing Township since 1959.
   She was a homemaker and a member of Incarnation Church.
   She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Anna Naughton Kelly and widow of Cyril S. Loftus.
   She is survived by one daughter, Claire Loftus of Ewing; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Loftus of Washington, D.C., and Gerard and Inge Loftus of Lambertville; four grandsons, Christopher Loftus of Arlington, Va., Matthew Loftus and Patrick Loftus of Washington, D.C., and Connor Loftus of Lambertville; and three nieces, Agnes Kelly, Ann Dempsey and Marie McCourt, all of Manchester, England.
   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, Ewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at Incarnation Church. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Henry McAloan Sr.

   DELAWARE — Henry T. McAloan Sr., 84, of Delaware Township, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at home.
   Born in Hampton, he was the son of the late Wallace and Margaret Van Nest McAloan. He lived in Delaware for more than 53 years, previously residing in Lambertville.
   He was an East Coast representative for Service Rubber Company, based in Rockville, Ill., for more than 30 years.
   Mr. McAloan was an Army veteran of World War II.
   He was a member of the Lambertville American Legion Post 120.
   Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Charlotte Canning McAloan; and two sons, Henry Jr. of Jamison, Pa., and Robert B. of Raritan Township.
   Services were held Tuesday at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery.
