Jacqulyn Williams
Jacqulyn Williams, 60, died Dec. 13 at home.
Born in Trenton, she was raised in Pennington. She lived in Trenton most of her life. She was a retired employee at C.V. Hills Refrigeration with 17 years of service.
Daughter of the late James and Frances Sarah McAchen; she is survived by three children, Anthony Williams of Ewing, Elizabeth Mitchell of Trenton and Kimberly Williams of New York; three sisters, Patricia Brooks and Sharon Sallie of Morrisville, Pa., and Kathlein McAchen of Lawrenceville; a brother, James Robert McAchen Jr. of Ewing; a stepmother, Doris McAchen; two stepsisters, Sharon Loper and Deborah Waldron; a sister-in-law, Gloria McAchen; a son-in-law, Areginald Mitchell; five grandchildren, Natasha and Brandon Williams, Cameron Walters, Cianni Rivera and Megan Higgenbotham; a great-grandson, Nasif Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Rose Tranter
Rose Marie Piazza Tranter, 64, died Dec. 18 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She retired after 23 years as a secretary for the Trenton Board of Education.
Widow of Arthur A. Tranter, daughter of the late Robert and Anna Palermo Piazza, and sister of the late Vincent Piazza, Catherine Costantini, Robert Piazza, Nina Vey, Albert Piazza, Sally Sciarrotta and Lorraine Bowker, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Robin and Joseph Paulowsky, Lisa and Jason Parent and Tara Dougherty, all of Hamilton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Arthur Jr. and Sherry Tranter of Victorville, Calif., and Eric Tranter of New Hope, Pa.; four brothers, Carmen Piazza of Lawrenceville, Joseph Piazza of Verona, N.J., Samuel Piazza of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ronald Piazza of Levittown, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Justin and Dylan Tranter, Caitlyn and Brianna Paulowsky, Courtney Parent, and Erin and Michael Dougherty; two step-grandchildren, Thomas and Dennis Tranter; her very best friend, June Stanley; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Monday from the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church.
Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.

Elinor Morgan
Elinor F. Morgan, 95, died Saturday in Meadow Lakes Retirement Center, Hightstown.
Formerly of Baltimore and Annapolis, Md., she was a graduate of The Roland Park Country School and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
She had her own daytime radio program on WBAL in Baltimore and performed plays with the Vagabonds. She was a founding member of the New Cathedral Library and a charter member of the Mother Seton House and helped in many of the restorations and historical data.
She also volunteered her time at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, and again at Annapolis General Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Donnelly of Lawrenceville; a grandson, Michael J. Donnelly Jr. of West Chester, Pa.; a granddaughter, Amy Morgan Custer of Hatboro, Pa.; a sister, Randolph E. Wise of Stone Ridge, N.Y.; two great-granddaughters, Sara and Allison Donnelly; and three great-grandsons, Jared Donnelly and Mark and Matthew Custer.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
Interment followed Tuesday in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Baltimore, Md.
Assunta Calla
Assunta (Sue) Calla, 92, died Sunday at Royal Health Gate Nursing Home in Trenton.
Born in Atella, Italy, she lived in the Trenton area most of her life.
She was formerly employed by Star Porcelain Company of Trenton. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, its senior citizens club and Altar-Rosary Society, Senior Citizens Post 458 and Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club 2.
Widow of Michael Calla, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosemarie Vanette DiUmberto, stepdaughter of the late Pasqualina DiUmberto, sister of the late Antonetta LoCurcio, Lucy Zottoli, Charles, Michael and Luigi DiUmberto; she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael W. and Dorothy Calla of Lawrenceville, Robert Calla of Lawrenceville and his fiancée Lila Newman of East Windsor; three grandchildren, Robert, Brian and his wife Katharine and John Calla; a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Andrew Scorsolini of Hamilton; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday at St. James Church, East Paul Ave., Trenton.
Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.
