Lawrence Council expected to fill vacancies

41 residents applied for the 19 boards, committees.

   Township Council plans to choose from among 41 township residents who have applied to fill vacancies on 19 advisory boards and committees when it begins making those appointments at its Jan. 6 meeting.
   Four residents have applied to fill three openings on the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Two of the terms are for four years, ending in 2007, and one is for a two-year term ending in 2005.
   Stephen C. Brame of Princeton Pike is the director of economic and community development for the Borough of Carteret.
   Robert H. Kulak of Brunswick Avenue retired as a self-employed building contractor.
   Peter Rand of Lawrencia Drive is associate director of sourcing and supplier excellence at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.
   Richard Marc Taylor of Glenn Avenue is the director of business development and sales at Face 2 Face Animation.
   At the Planning Board, three residents are seeking to fill two openings. One term is for four years ending in 2007 and the second is for a two-year term that expires in 2005.
   Philip B. Duran of Keefe Road is president of EnviroPhysics Inc.
   Robert H. Kulak of Brunswick Avenue retired as a self-employed building contractor.
   The Affordable Housing Board has two applicants for three openings. One unexpired term ends in 2005 and the other two three-year terms expire in 2006.
   Nancy R. Becker of Province Line Road retired as an art teacher at the Chapin School.
   Kathlein A. McAchen of Maple Leaf Drive is a consultant for Verizon Communications.
   There are three applicants for one vacancy on the Cable Telecommunications Advisory Committee, for an unexpired term that ends in 2004.
   J. Michael Littwin of Smithfield Avenue works in the camera room operations for the state Department of Treasury’s print shop.
   Eric Rau of Pine Knoll Drive retired as the assistant director at the state Department of Environmental Protection’s environmental lab.
   Brett Smith of Lawrence Road works for AT&T as a service architect.
   At the Construction Board of Appeals, there is one applicant for two openings. The four-year terms end in 2007.
   Norman A. Midthassel of Manitee Avenue is a consultant for Torcho Brothers Inc., general contractors.
   There are five openings and one applicant at the Cultural and Heritage Advisory Committee. The four-year terms end in 2007.
   Jane Thompson of Pine Knoll Drive is seeking appointment to the board. She is retired.
   At the Environmental Resources Committee, there are 10 applicants for four openings. All of the terms are for four years, expiring in 2007.
   Although two of the eight applicants do not live in Lawrence, it is not a requirement to live in the township in order to serve on an advisory board or committee, Municipal Manager William Guhl said.
   Michael C. Azzara of Fairview Terrace is the outreach coordinator for the Northeast Organic Farming Association.
   Brian K. Hammer of Shirley Lane is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University.
   Paul R. Larson of Darrah Lane is product stewardship manager for North America for Rhodia Inc.
   Philip L. McIndoo of Mark Cermele Court retired as a telecommunications system engineer from Mitre Corp.
   William J. Mitchell of Bennington Drive is a field operations engineer for Princeton Video Image Media Services.
   Peter Rand of Lawrencia Drive is associate director for sourcing and supplier excellence at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.
   Eric Rau of Pine Knoll Drive retired as the assistant director of the state Department of Environmental Protection’s environmental lab.
   Ian D. Rozdilsky of Faculty Road in Princeton Township works for Princeton University.
   Angelo A. Stio III of Stonicker Drive is an attorney with Pepper Hamilton LLP.
   Karl Nils Werner of Heather Drive in Somerset is a senior project manager at Gannett Fleming Inc.
   At the Greenway Committee, there are three applicants for two vacancies. The three-year terms end in 2006.
   Paul R. Larson of Darrah Lane is product stewardship manager for North America for Rhodia Inc.
   Elaine A. Mills, who lists P.O. Box 6834, Lawrenceville, as her address, is a landscape designer for Thomas Biro Associates.
   David Mizenko of Village Court is a network administrator for the State of New Jersey.
   There are two applicants for three openings on the Growth and Redevelopment Committee. The terms are for three years and end in 2006.

   Alvin Geser of Glenn Avenue retired as the executive officer of the New Jersey Pharmacist Association.
   The Human Relations Committee has six applicants for two openings. The three-year terms end in 2006.
   Norbert E. Donelly of Woodmont Drive is retired as the principal of Norbert E. Donelly Co., which was a human relations consulting firm.
   Darius Eslami of Princeton Pike is a junior at Notre Dame High School and wants to be the student representative.
   Eva Eslami of Princeton Pike is a librarian at Princeton University.
   Bernadette Francesca Gur of Nathan Hale Avenue is the director of editorial services for the Educational Testing Service.
   Brett R. Smith of Lawrence Road is a service architect at AT&T.
   Doris M. Weisberg of West Long Drive is retired. She is presently serving on Township Council, but her term expires Dec. 31.
   There are three applicants for two openings on the Municipal Alliance on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. The two-year terms end in 2005.
   Kathy Conley of CampFire U.S.A. on E. Franklin Street in Trenton is the co-executive director of CampFire U.S.A.’s New Jersey Council.
   Alvin Geser of Glenn Avenue is retired as the executive officer of the New Jersey Pharmacist Association.
