Beef and beer

   Saturday, March 20 — Florence Burn Boys’ Travel Soccer "Beef and Beer" will be held at the T. Kosciuszko Club Inc., Route 130 North, Burlington, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at door; call 499-9140.
Breakfast

   Sunday, March 21 — Holy Assumption Parish Holy Name Society presents its all-you-can-eat breakfast featuring eggs, potatoes, pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee at the Holy Assumption Church, McGrath Hall, 1290 Hornberger Ave., Roebling, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Adults eat for $5, senior citizens 65 and older eat for $4, kids 6 to 12 eat for $3 and kids 5 and younger eat free.
Art show

Interfaith week



   Sunday, March 21 through Sunday, March 28 — The congregations of Bordentown and the surrounding area will celebrate Interfaith week. Interfaith week will end with a choir festival on March 28 at 7 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Bordentown. Choirs from the various congregations will perform and refreshments will follow.
Hadassah meeting

   Tuesday, March 23 — Burlington County Chapter of Hadassah will meet at 1 p.m. at Temple Har Zion, High and Ridgeway streets, Mount Holly. A musical appreciation program will follow a brief business meeting. James Goldsworthy, D.M.A., associate professor at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, will present "Scherzo (What’s the Joke?)" Call 291-9006 for details.
Wine and cheese party

   Thursday, March 25 — The newly formed Holy Assumption Alumni Association is hosting a wine and cheese party at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Assumption Rectory for all Holy Assumption alumni, PTA alumni, parents and friends of alumni. Chinese auction

   Friday, March 26 — The Florence Township Chapter of Deborah will sponsor its annual Chinese auction at the VFW Post 8838 on 10th Avenue, Roebling. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the drawing begins at 7:30 p.m. Attendees must be 21 or older. Admission of $4 includes refreshments, cake, coffee and tea. Pasta dinner

   Friday, March 26 — St. Mary’s in Bordentown City is having a Lenten pasta dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The dinner will include salad, bread, beverage, pasta with a choice of marinara, alfredo or vodka sauce, coffee, tea and dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and younger. Tickets will not be sold at the door; purchase tickets through the school, St. Mary’s Rectory or after the 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. masses on Sunday, March 21 at the main entrance of the church. Dog egg hunt

   Saturday, March 27 — Burlington County Animal Alliance presents the third annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt slated at noon at the Burlington County Animal Shelter, located in the County Complex off Woodlane Road in Westampton.The Easter Bunny will hop down Woodlane Road to host the egg hunt. Proceeds from the fund-raiser will help the dogs and cats inside the shelter who need a new home and family.

Clothing drive

   Sunday, March 28 — The Venture Crew 55 of Chesterfield Township is sponsoring a clothing drive and needs any kind of clothing in wearable condition. Bag items and drop them off at Crosswicks Community Center from noon to 4 p.m. or call 298-8463 for a pick-up.
Informational meeting

   Wednesday, March 31 — The Northern Burlington Regional High School exchange program will host an informational meeting at 7 p.m. in the middle school cafeteria. Northern will host 19 students from the Lichtenfels School in Graz, Austria, and needs families to host the students. They will be here Friday, Oct. 8 to Wednesday, Oct. 20. Story time

   Wednesdays in March — Jobstown Post Office presents story time in honor of Dr. Seuss’ 100th birthday. Parents can bring preschool or kindergarten students to the Jobstown Post Office, 2206 Saylors Pond Road, every Wednesday in March from 12:35 to 1:25 p.m. Bring a blanket or something to sit on.

Elvis tribute

   Saturday, April 3 — The Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8838 in Roebling is hosting Mark Reno who will perform a tribute to Elvis. He will do impressions of The Platters, Engelbert, Tom Jones, Elton John, Neil Diamond and others. Tickets are $18 and include soda, beer, and light refreshments. Cabbage sale

   Saturday, April 3 — The Holy Assumption Altar-Rosary Society of Roebling, will have a stuffed cabbage sale. Cost of the cabbage is $12 per dozen and containers will be provided. Fashion show

   Saturday, April 3 — Sanders’ Facilities Team presents "An Afternoon of Elegance" with a luncheon and fashion show featuring fashions by First Lady’s Boutique — Where Ladies Are First, from noon to 5 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bordentown. Egg hunt

   Sunday, April 4 — Several thousand Easter eggs will be dropped from a helicopter (weather permitting) at the Fountain of Life Center, Florence Township, at 1 p.m. This egg and candy hunt for children 12 and younger of Burlington County will be held at the Fountain of Life Center athletic field, Route 543 and Old York Road, Florence Township.

Library programs

   Spring has arrived at the Bordentown Library. Programs are being held at the library’s temporary location at the Fieldsboro Town Hall, 18 Washington St., Fieldsboro.
   Regular library hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
   Tuesday, April 6 — Toddler Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. Kids 18 to 36 months are invited for stories, songs and a "fluttering" craft. Registration is necessary and begins two weeks in advance at the library or by calling 298-0622.
   Wednesday, April 14 — Celebrate Bordentown Library’s 33rd anniversary as a branch of the Burlington County Library System. Enjoy refreshments and entertainment from 2 to 4 p.m.; all ages welcome.
Luncheon/card party

   Thursday, April 15 — As a fund-raiser for Hadassah Medical Organization, Burlington County Hadassah is sponsoring a luncheon/card party from noon to 4 p.m. at the Town and Country Diner on Route 130, Bordentown. Tickets are $14; call 291-1191 for details.
Spring fling

   Saturday, April 24 — The Greater Bordentown Area Chamber of Commerce (GBACC) spring fling dinner dance will be held at the Olde York Country Club.
   The semi-formal dinner will feature music from the big band era, Motown and the 50s and 60s pop favorites. Dinner will be buffet-style with beef, chicken and seafood choices with a cash bar.
