Joseph P. Ianuzzi
Joseph P. Ianuzzi, 81, died Aug. 13 at his home.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Ianuzzi resided in Skillman most of his life.
Mr. Ianuzzi served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and earned several awards for his service including Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Ribbon and European Theater Ribbon. After the war he worked at the Belle Mead Depot. He also worked at the family business, Mimi’s Restaurant, and before his retirement in 1978 owned and bartended in the Brookside Inn.
A member of the Princeton Elks Lodge 2129 for 34 years, he was a former member of the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Caroline Ianuzzi, sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Norman Steier, sister Rose Ianuzzi and his brother Peter Ianuzzi, he is survived by his wife Virginia Fancher Ianuzzi; stepdaughters Joanne Robinson and Ginger Bowden of Mesa, Ariz.; stepson Ed W. Slovinsky; and step-grandchildren Joseph P. Ianuzzi II, Jeremy Leonard and Kevin M. Robinson.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery, North Greenwood Avenue, Hopewell, with Fr. Dennis Apoldite officiating.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell.
Janice Marti
Janice Marti, 79, died Aug. 10 at her home in Lawrence Township.
Born in Mount Holly and a graduate of Hamilton High School, she resided in Mercer County most of her life.
While she worked for Bell Telephone in Trenton for several years, she was best known as a piano teacher. She was member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Pennington.
Mrs. Marti is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Albert W. Marti, and a daughter Yvonne Farrell of Washington, D.C.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 300 S. Main St., Pennington.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington.
