HILLSBOROUGH Oliver Miller died Friday in Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. He was 78.
Born in New York City, he lived in Neshanic Station for more than 30 years before moving to Hillsborough in 1988.
Mr. Miller owned and operated Miller Appliance Sales and Service of Hillsborough from 1960 until his retirement in 1988.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Clover Hill Reformed Church in Hillsborough.
He was a member of the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Company, Hillsborough Rotary Club and Hillsborough Senior Citizens, Chapter A. Mr. Miller belonged to many area Lions clubs and served as a district governor of Area 16D, and was a past president of the Neshanic Garden Club.
Surviving are his wife, Freida E. Miller; two daughters, Freida K. Miller of Bridgewater and Susan R. Miller of Bath, Pa.; and a brother, John of Parlin.
A funeral service was held Monday in Clover Hill Reformed Church. Cremation was private.
Arrangements were by Hillsborough Funeral Home in Hillsborough.
