Eleanor Blaustein Segal



   EAST WINDSOR — Eleanor Blaustein Segal, 83, died Tuesday at her residence.
   Born in Trenton, Mrs. Segal was a resident of Ewing Township most of her life before moving to East Windsor four years ago.
   She was a member of Har Sinai Temple and enjoyed singing and acting.
   Daughter of the late Emil and Ella Blaustein and wife of the late Sol. C. Segal, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Gail Segal of East Windsor; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Steven Miller of Newark, Del.; a brother, Seymour Blaustein of Ewing Township; and two grandchildren, Marissa and Steven Segal.
   Funeral services are 10 a.m. today, Friday, at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Rd., Ewing Township.
   Burial will follow at Ewing Cemetery.

Helen Fannick Selecky



   HIGHTSTOWN — Helen Fannick Selecky, 80, died Monday at Meadow Lakes.
   Born in Kingston, Pa., Mrs. Selecky lived in Allentown for more than 40 years before moving to Hightstown.
   Mrs. Selecky was a graduate of the Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, and was a secretary to the late Judge Paul Selecky, a former secretary of the late Gov. John Fine of Pennsylvania, and until the death of her husband, Medard A. Selecky M.D., she assisted in running the doctor’s office and later worked in Dr. Pica’s office.
   Mrs. Selecky was an accomplished artist and enjoyed writing.
   Daughter of the late George and Helen Evans Fannick and wife of the late Dr. Medard A. Selecky, she is survived by a daughter, Paula Selecky of New Lisbon.
   Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. today, Friday, at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery in Allentown.
   There are no calling hours.
   Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartmann Memorial Home, 2830 Nottingham Way.

Robert R. ‘Robbie’ Wagner Jr.



   HEISLERVILLE — Robert R. "Robbie" Wagner Jr., 25, died Sept. 30 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point.
   Born in Trenton, he resided in Heislerville and previously in New Egypt.
   Robbie worked for A.P. Construction in Blackwood. He was a member of Local 332 Laborers Local of Philadelphia, and the Sons of the American Legion. He was a former member of New Egypt United Methodist Church. Robbie was an avid race fan and fisherman.
   Robbie was the grandson of the late William J. Wagner Jr., grandson of the late Edward and Jane Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Wagner of Heislerville; his mother, Beth Ryan Wagner of New Egypt; his father and stepmother, Robert Wagner Sr. and Jennifer of Groveville; his stepfather, William Wagner of New Egypt; one son, Robert R. Wagner III; one daughter, Alexis Wagner, both at home; five brothers, Jon Restivo, William Wagner, Benjamin Wagner, Wesley Wagner, all of New Egypt, and Ryan Rick-Wagner of Groveville; one sister, Ashley Rick-Wagner of Groveville; paternal grandparents Suzanne and Elwood Vanderhoeff of Hightstown; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
   Funeral services were held Monday from the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt, with the Rev. Steve Beverly officiating.
   Interment was in Zion Cemetery, New Egypt.

Diana B. (nee Boccia) de Laurentis



   PRINCETON — Diana B. (nee Boccia) de Laurentis, 87, died Sept. 27 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   She was born in New York City. Being the wife of a career military officer, Mrs. de Laurentis moved often. She lived in many different areas of the world before settling in Binghamton, N.Y., where she resided for many years. She lived in Monroe for seven years until her recent move to Princeton.
   Mrs. de Laurentis was educated at Hunter College in New York City. She was an accountant for a real estate company in Westchester County, N.Y., before retiring 25 years ago.
   While in Binghamton, she belonged to an organization that assisted seniors with tax preparations and volunteered for many years with the American Red Cross. She was a communicant of St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church, Jamesburg.
   She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two sons, Gerard of Knoxville, Tenn., and Francis of Hightstown; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Grace Sparacio of Jackson.
   Funeral services were Oct. 1 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe.
   Funeral Mass followed in St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church, Jamesburg.
   Cremation was private.
   The family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
Barbara Hill Hammitt



   SPRING LAKE — Barbara Hill Hammitt, 77, died Sept. 26.
   She was born in Trenton in 1927, the only child of Harry S. Hill and Margaret Kafes Hill, and lived several years in Hightstown before returning to Trenton, where she attended junior and senior high school.
   She graduated from Smith College in 1948 and married Frederick G. Hammitt, also of Trenton, in 1949. She moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1955, where her husband received a postgraduate degree and became a member of the faculty of the University of Michigan.
   After her husband retired in 1987, they moved back to New Jersey taking up residence in Spring Lake. Her husband died in 1989 and Ms. Hammitt continued to live in Spring Lake, where she was active in the Food Bank of Monmouth-Ocean Counties, the Spring Lake Historical Society, the Ariel Club and the Garden Club.
   Ms. Hammitt is survived by her children, Frederick G. Hammitt Jr. of Madison, Harry Andrew Hammitt of Lynchburg, Va., and Jane Stevenson Hammitt Duarte of Arlington, Va.; her grandchildren, Evan Andrew, Sarah, Mark, and Elizabeth of Madison, Kelsey and Kenneth of Lynchburg, and Zachary, Samuel and Margaret of Arlington; and her aunt, Katherine Kafes of Trenton.
   Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Spring Lake, followed by a repast at the Ocean House in Spring Lake.
   Interment was at Ewing Church Cemetery, Trenton.
   Arrangements were under the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South St., Manasquan.

Frank S. Matuska

   EAST WINDSOR — Frank S. Matuska, 91, died Sept. 28 at home.
   Born in Bitumen, Pa., he was a longtime area resident.
   Mr. Matuska retired from Jack Frost Sugar Refinery in Long Island City, N.Y. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
   He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Matuska, and his siblings Edward, Joseph, John, Emma and Anna. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Christine Matuska; one daughter and son-in-law, Gerri and Raymond Mikulewicz Sr. of Washington Township; two brothers, Paul Matuska of Trenton and Steve Matuska of Florida; two sisters, Margaret Porubski of Mercerville and Helen Tarrant of Lumberton; two grandsons, Raymond Mikulewicz Jr. of Cream Ridge, and Robert and his wife Kristie Mikulewicz of East Windsor; one granddaughter, Debra and her husband Larry Henry of Bordentown Township; and two great-grandsons, Brad and William Pippen of East Windsor.
   A Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 1 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
   Entombment followed in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington.
