HILLSBOROUGH John M. Grindle died Monday in the Medical Center at Princeton. He was 80.
Born in Penobscot, Maine, he lived in Green Brook for 20 years before moving to Hillsborough 15 years ago.
Mr. Grindle retired from Holman Label in Summit, where he was a printer.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Hillsborough and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bucksport, Maine.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Beach) Grindle; a daughter, Glenyce Welches of Hillsborough; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today from the Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough. Burial will be in Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough.
