Marcia A. Haber Lederer, 69, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Ms. Lederer resided there before moving to Monroe 11 years ago. Prior to her retirement 11 years ago, she was an elementary school teacher for the New York City Board of Education for 23 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Marshal; a son, Andrew of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters, Cynthia Michelson and her husband, Rich, of Oak Hill, Va., and Suzanne Slatkin and her husband, Robert, of Potomac Falls, Va.; a brother, Eugene Haber of Manhattan; and four grandchildren, Daniel and Russell Michelson and Rebecca and Alexandra Slatkin
Funeral services were held at noon on Sunday, Nov. 7, at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Burial followed at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. Memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
