HILLSBOROUGH – William P. Jones died Jan. 9 at home. He was 75.
Born in Scranton, Pa., he had been a resident of Manville before moving to Hillsborough, 44 years ago.
Mr. Jones was a US Army veteran.
Mr. Jones worked in the Piping Department of Johns-Manville for 32 years, retiring in 1983 and was a member of its Quarter Century Club.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and a member of the church’s Knights of Columbus.
He was a member of the Manville VFW Post 2290 and the Manville American Legion Post 304.
His wife, Veronica Jones, died in 2004.
Surviving is his son, William M. of Hillsborough; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services are being held at 8:15 a.m. today from Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
