Donald E. Mason
Donald E. "Corky" Mason, 66, died May 3 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was raised in Lambertville and lived in the Hopewell-Pennington area for 39 years.
He was educated in the Lambertville school system. He was a printer for Union Camp in New Hope, Pa., for 10 years and was a meat cutter for Laurenti’s ShopRite in the Pennington area for 29 years.
He was a member of Local #56.
Son of the late Raymond and Viola Mason, brother of the late Raymond "Skeezix" Mason Jr., he is survived by his wife Dorothy Mason; a son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Linda Driver of Pennington; a stepson Harold H. Driver of Mercerville; grandchildren Bryan and Jamie Driver of Pennington, Maurice and Justin Driver of Ewing; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alvin and Joyce Driver of Pennington, Addison and Louise Driver of Pennington, Constance Wheeler of Trenton, and Seymour Hundley of Pennington; uncles Jack Mason of Lambertville, and William Bogs of LaPlata, Md.; a special friend Howard "Bubby" Gailloux; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held today (Monday) at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Pennington. The Rev. Thomas Hills, pastor, officiated.
Interment was in Ewing Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Hughes Funeral Home.
Brian Joseph Christie
Brian Joseph Christie, 45, died May 3 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Christie was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Christie graduated from the Lawrenceville School, Class of 1977. He also is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Christie began his career with the Nassau Savings and Loan in Princeton. He then worked with the Resolution Trust Corporation, the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York and the Carnegie Bank in Princeton, which later was acquired by the Sovereign Bank, where he was employed as a vice president of commercial lending.
Mr. Christie was a past member of the Montgomery Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Sally; a son, Quinn Elliott Christie; his parents Dr. and Mrs. Alfred Christie of Pennington; a brother A. Douglas Christie M.D. of Bloomsburg, Pa.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gretchen Christie of Princeton, Colleen and Martin Maloney of Frenchtown, and Cathleen and Jeffrey Arch of Marriottsville, Md.; his mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Nancy Goldberger of Haven Beach; his aunt Betty Anne Sweeney of Pennington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass was celebrated today (Monday) at St. James Church, Pennington.
Burial was private.
Arrangements were under the direction of the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, Ewing.

John H. Hellyer
John H. Hellyer, 89, formerly of Ewing Township, died Friday in Stony Brook Assisted Living Center in Pennington.
Born in Raritan Township, he had resided in Ewing for 44 years.
Mr. Hellyer retired from General Motors in Ewing Township in 1973 after 30 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hellyer was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ewing and the United Auto Workers Union Local #731.
Son of the late Howard and Harriet Zielstorff Hellyer and husband of the late Grace Pursell Hellyer, he is survived by a cousin George Morris; a nephew William Pursell; and a niece Ruth Ferik.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bethany Lutheran Church, 1125 Parkside Ave., Ewing.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
