Princeton Public Library will again be the site of an open casting call for the MTV show "Made." Casting directors are looking to interview young people, ages 15 to 21, for the upcoming season, on June 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the first floor Community Room.
"Made" chronicles the efforts of young people who hope to achieve a secret goal that until now has seemed beyond their reach. MTV provides the selected teens with professional trainers, coaches or mentors to help them reach their goals while filming the process.
"On every new episode of ‘Made,’ one willing candidate embarks on a mission to transform his or her life," according to MTV’s Web site. "Whether it’s to become a football player or a surfer, each teenager has a dream to break out of their shell and find out who they really are."
This will be the casting directors’ second visit to the library. More than 100 young people were interviewed during an open casting call last August.
"We had such an enthusiastic response last August when we had MTV here, with lots of requests to have them back this summer," said Teen Services Librarian Susan Conlon. "This time around, they’ll be here shortly after school is over and also as our summer reading clubs are just getting under way, so hopefully it will be an opportunity for teens to sign up for Teen Read Summer 2005, too."
A sign-up sheet for the cast call will be available at 1 p.m. Candidates will be interviewed in the order in which they register.
