Patricia B. Davis
   Patricia B. Davis, 86, of Lambertville died Aug. 10 at Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington.
   Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in teaching and was a member of Pi Lambda Theta teaching sorority. She taught in the Bridgeville, Pa. school system, and then worked as a program director at the YWCA in Wilkinsburg, Pa.
   After moving to Forrest Hills, Pa., she was active in the Women’s League and Hope Lutheran Church. In 1970, she moved to Branchton, Pa., where she was active in the Branchton United Methodist Church, serving in many roles, including being a longtime Sunday School teacher.
   Ms. Brown moved to New Jersey in 2000 and attended Hopewell United Methodist Church.
   Wife of the late Evan A. Davis, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Jean Davis of Lambertville; a stepdaughter, Caroll Eckroat of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and two stepsons Ronald Davis of Commerce, Mich., and Daniel Davis of Elizabethtown, Ky.
   Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Robinson, pastor of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, officiating.
   Friends may call from 7 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Interment will be on Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, 07834.
Francis R. Lavan
   Francis R. Lavan, 101, died at the Community Hospital in Toms River on Aug. 10.
   Born in Newark, he had been a resident of Manchester for 25 years.
   He was a commercial engineer with PSE&G for many years before his retirement.
   Husband of the late Lydia Jaekel Lavan, he is survived by a son Robert. J. Lavan Sr. and a grandson, Robert J. Lavan Jr., both of Hopewell.
   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday from the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, with the Rev. Orrin T. Hardgrove, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Hopewell, officiating.
   Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, New Hanover.
   Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
