NORTH BRUNSWICK Larry O’Donald McKellar died Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 41.
Born in Princeton, he was a graduate of Princeton High School. He furthered his education at West Virginia University at Morgantown, W.Va., where he excelled at football.
General Motors Corp. employed him as an assembly line supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Martina Mary McKellar, and children Devin J., Rachel M. and Summer P. McKellar, all of North Brunswick; parents Luther P. and Patricia McKellar of Princeton; brothers and sisters-in-law Luther D. and Joyce McKellar of Catonsville, Md., Kenneth L. and Fay McKellar of Clearwater, Fla., Keith and Kim McKellar of Frederick, Md., and J. Patrick and Trady McKellar, also of Frederick, Md.; grandparents Johnnie and Lula McCrimmon of Ireland; sister and brothers-in-law Paula A. and Gaylord Watson of North Brunswick and Michael and Steven McCool of Ireland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral was Thursday.

Jeanette S. Thurber
Former Princeton resident
HIGHTSTOWN Jeanette Scott Webster Thurber died Saturday at Meadow Lakes retirement community. She was 98.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, she graduated from the Columbus School for Girls and Wellesley College and also studied painting and bookbinding in Italy.
In 1933, she married Lawrence Burns Webster, who died in 1969. In 1971, she married Gerrish Thurber, the Lawrenceville School librarian, He died in 2000.
She was a resident of Princeton from 1942 to 1983 before moving to Meadow Lakes.
In Princeton, she was an active member of the Present Day Club, The Wellesley Club of Central New Jersey and the Nassau Presbyterian Church. She was on the founding committee of the Princeton Antiques Show and a member of the Arts Advisory Committee of the New Jersey State Museum. She served on the boards of trustees of the Historical Society of Princeton and the American Boychoir School.
She is survived by two daughters, Katherine W. Dwight of Tenafly and Rosalind W. Perry of Santa Barbara, Calif.; stepson Edward G. Thurber of Fullerton, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at the Princeton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Historical Society of Princeton, The American Boychoir School or Wellesley College.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
Pamela W. Miller
Bathing suit designer
Pamela Warner Miller died Thursday at the University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 65.
Born in Oak Park, Ill., she graduated from Dana Hall School in Wellesley, Mass., and Garland Junior College in Boston. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1969.
After college, she started modeling and designing bathing suits in New York. She sold her first painting at the age of 14, and she was an avid and accomplished painter throughout life.
She excelled at tournament bridge late in life, partly as a result of her training at the poker table early in life. She was a member of The Bedens Brook Club, Present Day Club, Mid-Ocean Club and the Pretty Brook Tennis Club.
She is survived by her husband, G. Nicholas Miller; sons and daughter-in-law John T. and Ginger Woodward of Bethesda, Md., and Seth Warner Woodward of Ketchum, Idaho; daughter Anne D. Colanzi of North Port, Fla.; parents Bev and Dorothy Warner of Dorset, Vt.; sisters Anne Linville of New York and Lynne Averill of San Francisco; and grandchildren Lillian, Natalie, Sarah, Wesley, Sam and Keegan.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 30 at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Princeton HealthCare System Foundation at the University Medical Center at Princeton, 253 Witherspoon St., Princeton, NJ 08540.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton.
Marc W. Murphy
Graduate of Princeton University
ELIZABETH Marc W. Murphy died Sunday as the result of a drowning accident at Long Beach Island. He was 54.
Born in Elizabeth, he served in the U.S. Air Force the past 25 years as a psychiatric nurse. He was a former resident of San Antonio and Biloxi, Miss.
Lt. Col. Murphy was a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Texas. He was a veteran of the war on terrorism’s efforts in Iraq.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Asma Murphy; sons Bart Murphy of Del Rio, Texas, and Scott and Philip Murphy, both of Lynchburg, Va.; daughter and son-in-law Jeanette Murphy and Michael Miller of San Antonio; brothers Jeffrey Murphy of Whitehouse Station and Glenn Murphy of Basking Ridge; sister Karen DiProspero of Martinsville; father and mother-in-law John and Ellen Asma of Morrisville, Pa.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Westerly Road Church, 25 Westerly Road, Princeton. A burial at a later date will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Calling hours were Thursday.
