PLAINSBORO — Investment pros, financial whizzes and local media personalities will be on hand on Saturday, Nov. 19, for Investment Fest 2005.
The event, co-hosted by the Princeton Business Journal and MoneyTalk 1350 and sponsored by Commerce Bank, runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Doral Forrestal Conference Center at Forrestal Village in Plainsboro.
"Investment Fest is the largest and most well-attended event we host each year," said Ed Palladino, operations manager at Nassau Broadcasting, MoneyTalk 1350’s parent company. "It’s a fantastic opportunity for our listeners to get the financial information they crave, and for all of us at the radio station to meet and thank our listeners."
The event is designed as a full-day, one-stop shop for anyone, Mr. Palladino said. A trade show floor will feature financial experts who are interested in speaking to attendees one-on-one about investment options ranging from retirement planning, financial planning for your children’s education, and stock tips.
Investment seminars, which run continuously throughout day, offer attendees more in-depth information on their investment topics of interest, he added.
"Many of the seminars will also offer those who attend a question-and-answer session to address their individual investment needs," Mr. Palladino said.
And representatives from the Business Journal and MoneyTalk 1350 will be on hand.
"Each year, Investment Fest gives the loyal MoneyTalk 1350 listeners an opportunity to meet and talk one-on-one with the nationally syndicated radio hosts they listen to every day," Mr. Palladino said. "This year, Ray Lucia, Lee Siler — ‘The Stock Doctor’ — and Gary Kaltbaum will attend. Plus, we will present a three-hour live radio broadcast from the event in which our exhibitors will participate."
Investment Fest is in its fifth year, Mr. Palladino said. The station hoped that partnering with the Business Journal and its parent company, The Princeton Packet Inc., would give the event more exposure.
"We had also hoped that partnering with The Packet would make Investment Fest 2005 our biggest and best ever," he said.
The event is free and includes breakfast, door prizes, open-panel discussions and lunchtime samplings from area restaurants. To pre-register and enter to win a $50 gift card to Best Buy, visit www.packetonline.com.
