 The Villagers of Allentown will present “The Jersey Tomato” by Judith Krall- Russo at 10 a.m. March 25 at the Allentown First Aid Squad, 70 Waker Ave., Allentown. The program is free and open to the public. Discover where the tomato originated and why it is one of New Jersey’s favorite crops. Learn about New Jersey’s tomato-packing industry.  Dr. Jamie Sklarski, Northeast Regional Cochlear Implant Consumer Specialist for Advanced Bionics, will describe the latest advances and enhancements in cochlear-implant listening technology at the next meeting of the Ocean-Monmouth Hearing Loss Support Group on March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Symmes Road, Manalapan.  Joan Ruddiman will share the history of the Allentown Public Library at 2 p.m. March 8 at the library, 16 S. Main St., Allentown. The library is celebrating a milestone in 2015 — the 50th year of the incorporation of the Allentown Public Library Association, but the library’s story goes back much further than the middle of the 20th century.
