Emergency-response training session set in West Windsor

   WEST WINDSOR — Registration is open for the township Police Department’s Community Emergency Response Team training spring session.
   Classes will be held on Tuesdays from March 7 through May 6. Classes are from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
   The program is designed to train citizens to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations. CERT members will be able to provide critical support to first responders.
   Training includes disaster preparedness, disaster fire suppression, basic disaster medical operations, shelter operations, search and rescue, and many other emergency response courses.
   Applications are available at the Police Department headquarters in the municipal complex. Applicants must be 18 or older, live or work in West Windsor, and have a valid driver’s license.
   Applications are due by Feb. 24.
