Patricia Ryan Samse, 87, of South Yarmouth, Mass., died on April 12.
Born in Jersey City, she graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City and from Katherine Gibbs, New York City, before becoming a secretary on Wall Street for Whiteweld & Company where she worked until 1945.
Ms. Samse later worked as a bank teller at Capital City Savings and Loan in Fanwood, retiring in 1982.
A member of the Fanwood Republican Club, the Fanwood Tennis Club and the Plainfield Junior League, she and her husband Karl moved to South Yarmouth, Mass., from Fanwood in 1982.
Predeceased by her husband Karl A. Samse, who died in 2000, she is survived by a son Mark Samse of Hopewell; a daughter E. Norris McCaughey of Lincoln, R.I.; and three grandsons.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Saint Plus X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, Mass.
Private burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
