Plainsboro police plan seat-belt enforcement

PLAINSBORO — Law enforcement officers throughout the state will step up seat-belt enforcement and education from Monday to June 4 as part of the nationwide "Click it or Ticket" mobilization.
The program’s goal is to increase safety-belt usage from 86 percent to 88 percent.
Local police agencies will conduct a zero-tolerance safety-belt enforcement campaign, issuing tickets to all motorists who are not buckled up.
"High-visibility enforcement saves lives," said Roberto Rodriguez, director of the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety. "Our goal is to make sure that all motor-vehicle occupants are properly restrained, on every trip."
