Grace DeGennaro Orsolino, 89, of Brooklyn, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Westhampton Nursing Home.
Born in Bari, Italy, she came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1932, and continued to live there for 50 years. She moved to the Hampton Bays, Long Island, N.Y., area in 1982.
Her husband, Vincent, died in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Jenny Magarelli and her husband, Joseph, of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, Vincent and his wife, Vincenza, of Monroe and John and his wife, Ive, of Smithfield, Va.; a sister, Mary Rauso of Brooklyn; five grandchildren, Grace Ann, Meek, Devorah Favalora and Kathy Ann and Grace Ellen Magerelli; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday), at 8:45 a.m. from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord R.C., Monroe. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y.
