George Klimowich

   MANVILLE — George A. Klimowich died Aug. 30 at home. He was 61.
   Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Manville most of his life.
   Mr. Klimowich served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict and most recently in the United States Army in the Alpha Company 250th Signal Battalion as sergeant from July 1981-1997. In 1997 he retired from the military after 24 years of service where he had worked as a supply sergeant.
   He was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 in Manville, a life-member of the VFW Post 1748 in Raritan and a member of the American Legion Post 304 in Manville.
   He was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
   Surviving are a son, Eric of Manville; a daughter, Bridget Blatz of Nazareth, Pa.; his step-mother, Ann Sufrinko of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; one step-grandchild; step-brother, Phillip Sufrinko of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; step-sister, Annette Dixon of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and his ex-wife, Diane Dever, of Easton, Pa.
   Funeral services were held Sept. 2 from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Horne, 203 South Main Street, Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Cremation was at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
