Thomas E. Price

Thomas E. Price, “Tom,” 57, of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Egypt, New Jersey, and Wrightstown, New Jersey, passed away on March 17, 2015.

He was born May 26, 1957, in Elyria, Ohio, and shared his birth date of May 26 with his on-screen hero, John Wayne.

Tom was raised in New Jersey by his late parents, Glenn R. Price and Lucilla (Bishop) Price. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several half-brothers and other close relatives. He was also preceded by his hunting dog “Patch” and his Mauzer puppy dog.

Tom loved his God, his family and his friends. He loved life, had a sense of humor unmatched by anyone, a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a history buff, and a John Wayne aficionado.

He was a life member of the NRA, a staunch supporter of the Constitution and the Second Amendment. He loved shooting and he lived by these words of John Bernard Books, the character played by John Wayne in the movie “The Shootist” — “I won’t be wronged. I won’t be insulted. I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.”

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Debra L. (Moss) Price; his children, Renee L. Szorosy (Brian) of New Jersey; Tiffany L. Zinky (Chris) of New Jersey; Heather A. Williams (Larry) of Pennsylvania; and George T. Price of Pennsylvania; his sisters, Cindy L. Price of New Jersey; Sheila Ringer of Pennsylvania; several half-brothers and sisters; his grandchildren, Tyler M. DuPuis, Mikaela R. DuPuis and Abigail R. Szorosy, all of New Jersey; and Alicia M. Williams and Christian A. Williams of Pennsylvania; and his daughter-in-law to be, Gayle Patterson; and his grandchildren to be, Josh and Jessica Patterson, all of Pennsylvania; other relatives, many dear friends and his beloved dog “Buddy.”

Honoring the request of Thomas, funeral services were private under the direction of the Shell Funeral Home, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
