Kenneth E. Stettner, 97, of Monroe, died Monday, Sept. 4, at Meadows Lakes Care Facility in Hightstown.
He was born in Stone Ridge, N.Y., and lived most of his life on Staten Island, N.Y., moving to Rossmoor in 1968. After graduating from college with a degree in chemical engineering, Mr. Stettner had a long career as a plant manager for Proctor and Gamble Co. in Port Ivy, N.Y., retiring in 1968. He served in the Navy during World War II and achieved the rank of lieutenant commander.
His wife, Ruth E. Watson Stettner, died in 1989. He is survived by a nephew, Edward Stettner of Southborough, Mass.
Private funeral and cremation services were entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township.
