HILLSBOROUGH Kenneth Nord, MD, died Aug. 30 in Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass. He was 56.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Chatham before moving to Hillsborough in 1986.
Dr. Nord was a pediatric gastroenterologist at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston for many years, and served as department director.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Parish) Nord of Hillsborough; a son, Russell, an MD in New York City; a daughter, Fraylie Nord of Hillsborough; his parents, Dr. Seymour and Julia (Weissman) Nord of Livingston; and a brother, Alan of Edison.
Funeral services were held Sept. 3 from Menorah Chapels of Millburn in Union. Interment was in B’nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union.
