It is the week for "Pomp and Circumstance."
Hundreds of area seniors will be launched into the next stage of their lives as Packet-area high schools stage graduation ceremonies. Here is a rundown for what is in store:
Princeton
Princeton High School will hold its graduation 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on the high school green, 151 Moore St.
Princeton Regional School District Superintendent Judy Wilson and PHS Principal Gary Snyder will preside over the graduating class of 305 students.
Student Rachel Snyderman will give the welcome address, and student speeches will be given by Helen Lopez, Robert Borchert, and Rachel Wenitsky.
The top five schools where PHS seniors are headed are Rutgers University, Princeton University, Dickinson College, Johns Hopkins University, and The College of New Jersey.
Graduating seniors have been admitted to colleges in more than 30 states and several foreign countries.
Montgomery
Montgomery High School will be holding the commencement of the class of 2007 6 p.m. Thursday at Cougar Stadium behind the high school.
In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held inside the school’s gymnasium.
West Windsor-Plainsboro
The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District will hold commencements of High School South and North on Tuesday at Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, with South’s class of 2007 ceremony starting at noon and North’s at 3 p.m.
Valedictorians are: Tiffany Jin for North and Ying-Ying Tran for South. School Board President Hemant Marathe and outgoing Superintendent Robert L. Loretan will be giving speeches at both commencement ceremonies.
High School South will be graduating 401 students, while High School North will be graduating 339 students.
