South Korea’s ambassador to the United States, Lee Tae-sik, will give a lecture entitled “The North Korean Nuclear Issue and the Future of the U.S.-South Korean Alliance Relationship” at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall at Princeton University.
A career diplomat whose service has spanned four decades and four continents, Mr. Lee has been ambassador to the United States since October 2005. He also has been an ambassador to Israel and the United Kingdom.
Lee has held several senior-level positions throughout the South Korean government, including deputy minister of foreign affairs. In that post, he led South Korean delegations in various security negotiations and consultations, particularly those addressing North Korea’s nuclear issue.
