Princeton Borough Council meets tonight

When the Princeton Borough Council meets tonight, two members plan to argue against going into closed session for a discussion of negotiations with  downtown developer Nassau HKT.
Councilmen Andrew Koontz and Roger Martindell said Monday that they want to make public the borough’s August proposal that was made in an attempt to wrap up the first phase of negotiations. Both councilmen said they understood it as the borough’s “final offer” to Nassau HKT.
Both said that they opposed a closed session because they viewed a Sept. 14 letter from the developer’s attorney Gary L. Green, as a request for further concessions by the borough and believed the matter should be discussed in public.
The council is scheduled to meet in open session at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Borough Hall.
