Lillian S. Wszolek
Semonik
EWING TOWNSHIP Lillian S. Wszolek Semonik, 79, died Sunday at the Capital Health System at Mercer.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Semonik was a lifelong Trenton and Ewing Township resident. She retired after several years with the Pierce-Roberts Company in Trenton. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Daughter of the late Ignatius and Antonette Pazdan Wszolek, mother of the late Thomas G. Semonik, who died April 2007, and sister of the late Henry Wszolek, Alexander Wszolek, Natalie Apgar and Lottie Kalafut, she is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George Semonik; her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Maureen Semonik of Hamilton Township; five grandchildren and spouses, Laura and Alan Amato of Houston, Texas, Sara Semonik of Bordentown Township, Thomas J. and Kristine Semonik of Browns Mills, Brian M. and Bridget Semonik of Greenwood, Ind., and Richard A. Semonik of Ewing Township; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Anthony and Dominick Semonik; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 8:15 a.m. today, Thursday, from the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Hedwig’s Church with the Rev. Dr. Jacek Labinski presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery #2, Hamilton Township.

Madeline A. Mull
CROSSWICKS Madeline A. Mull, 52, died Friday as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born in Trenton and resided in Jacobstown for 30 years before moving to Crosswicks last year. She was very devoted to her family.
Daughter of the late Joseph Faille, she is survived by her mother Geraldine Coma Faille; her loving husband of 34 years, Robert T. Mull; her beloved children, two daughters and sons-in-law, Brandee and Ben Keaton of New Egypt, and Amber and John Wilno of Hamilton, and her son Robert T. Mull Jr. of Crosswicks; four devoted grandchildren, Matthew and Hunter Keaton and Makennzie and Gianna Wilno; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Gail Faille of Hamilton and Roger and Cathy Faille of Connecticut; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Raymond and Lucille Mull of Jackson, James Mull of Freehold and John and Cheryl Mull of Freehold; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike DiSalvo of North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be 9 a.m. today, Thursday, from Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2947 S. Broad St., Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton. Interment will be in Crosswicks Cemetery.
John B. Byrne
ROBBINSVILLE John B. Byrne, 76, formerly of Hightstown, died Friday in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
Born in Hightstown, Mr. Byrne was a self employed carpenter for 50 years and a devout Catholic. Son of the late Fred K. and Elizabeth (Braun) Byrne, and brother of the late Margaret B. Larkin, and J. Vincent and Edward J. Byrne, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean D. Byrne; seven sons and their spouses, William R. and Carol of Scottsdale, Ariz., Brian W. and Diane of Lewes, Del., Timothy J. and Deborah of East Windsor, Gregory J. of Florence, John B. Jr. and Dawn of Hamilton, Kevin M. and Debra of Collegeville, Pa., and Matthew E. and Megan of Robbinsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Milan Hodul, Elizabeth and James Setneska and Kathleen and Arthur Ezell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred P. and Ann, and Robert and Rosemary Byrne; 13 grandchildren, Lauren, Jill, TJ, Megan, Shaun, Michael, Nicholas, Brianna, Kyle, Nicole, Stephanie, Courtney and Caitlyn; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held today, Thursday, at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville. Interment will follow in Dayton Cemetery, Dayton.

Donald T. Carter
YARDVILLE Donald T. Carter, 82, died Friday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
Born in Baltimore, Md., he lived most of his life in Brooklyn, N.Y. before moving to Yardville 36 years ago. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he retired after 30 years of service, as manager, from New York Telephone, in New York. Mr. Carter was a member of the VFW Post 491 in Yardville and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church.
Son of the late Robert and Nellie Rowley Carter, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Stephanie C. Jankowski Carter; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert K. and Dana Carter of Eastampton, Richard D. Carter of Bordentown Township; a grandson, Bryan Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville Allentown Road in Yardville, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Vincent DePaul Church. Elbert H. King
TUCKERTON Elbert H. "Big Al" King, 83, died Friday. Born on June 14, 1924 in Spawinaw, Okla., Mr. King was a longtime resident of Trenton before retiring to Tuckerton in 1986.
A U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II stationed at Fort Dix, Mr. King later worked as a carpenter for Jacobelli Builders and became a police and fire dispatcher for the City of Trenton after his honorable discharge from the service. He retired as chief fire dispatcher after 28 years on the job. He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and American Theater Ribbon.
He was a long time member of the Redfork/Brookside Masonic Lodge 505 in Tulsa, Okla. for which he received the 50 Year Award. He was a lifetime member of the New Jersey State Retired Police and Fireman’s Association. He was an avid fisherman, and he took great joy in spending time with his family.
Son of the late Elbert H. and Susie Bell King of Tulsa, Okla. and husband of the late Julia Radice King, he is survived by his wife of 28 years Patti A. King of Tuckerton; his daughter and son-in-law MaryJane and Stanley Sadovy of Hamilton; his granddaughter and her husband Danielle and John Ludwig of Bordentown; his grandson and his wife Anthony and Jennifer Graziani of Hamilton; his new great-granddaughter Reagan Ludwig of Bordentown; his stepdaughter Ann Marie La Bozetta and granddaughter Jessica, both of Mobile, Ala.; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Corine Radice of Hamilton; his sister-in-law Josephine Radice of Yardville; two special and loving cousins, Mary Schlect and J. C. King, both of Oklahoma as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins both in New Jersey and Oklahoma. The funeral services were Wednesday at the Mullen Funeral Home, Trenton. Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton.
Jean M. Giese
Maisto
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Jean M. Giese Maisto, 76, formerly of Trenton, died Aug. 30 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton area resident, and for the past seven years she resided in Bordentown Township. Daughter of the late John and Jennie Giese, wife of the late Joseph Maisto, and sister of the late Marion Lawrence; she is survived by her son, Joseph J. Maisto of Bordentown Township, with whom she resided; and a nephew, Dennis Lawrence. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave., Trenton. Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Elizabeth Glen
WILLOW STREET, Pa Elizabeth Lowden Glen, 95, of Willow Street, Pa. died Aug. 27 at Lakes Manor at Willow Valley in Willow Street, Pa.
Born and raised in Florence, daughter of the late Fred and Meta Weeast Lowden, she had lived in Leisuretown for 10 years and in Willow Street, Pa. for 20 years.
Mrs. Glen was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Florence. She had been a clerical worker at U.S. Steel Company, Fairless Hills, Pa., for 25 years, retiring in 1976.
She loved nature and reading.
Mrs. Glen was the wife of the late Bruce F. Glen.
She is survived by a sister, Edna M. Hudson of Willow Street, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Betty Lowden of Edgewater Park; a niece, Donna Hudson-Bryant; three nephews, Robert Lowden, David Hudson and the Rev. D. Lee Hudson; and stepchildren James Glen, Peter Glen and Richard Glen and their families.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Lowden.
The funeral was Friday at Dennison Funeral Home, Florence, officiated by the Rev. Timothy Weeks and the Rev. D. Lee Hudson, her nephew.
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Florence.

Edward M. Hammons
BORDENTOWN Edward M. Hammons, 83, died Aug. 27 at the Roebling home of his daughter following a brief illness.
Born in Rushville, Indiana, Mr. Hammons had been a Bordentown area resident since 1965 and was a decorated United States Army veteran in special services during World War II and the Korean War. He received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, and was honorably discharged as a master sergeant E-7.
Retired from Amerigas where he drove a propane truck for 18 years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Hammons also enjoyed working out at the Robert Wood Johnson Gym in Hamilton until a month ago.
He was the husband of the late Carolyn Barbara Hammons, son of the late Jesse L. Hammons and Margie Fightmaster, and brother of the late William Hammons and Betty Mae Beeler.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Stephen Sadley of Fieldsboro, and Michelle and Gary Miller of Roebling; a son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Michael Hammons and his wife, Holly Hammons of Anchorage, Alaska; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral was Friday at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, Trenton, followed by burial with military honors in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. A memorial service was held at Jacobstown Baptist Church, Jacobstown.

John Raymond
Hazel
BORDENTOWN John Raymond Hazel, 64, died Aug. 24 at his home in Bordentown.
Son of the late John R. and Marion D. Hazel, he is survived by his brother, Malcolm, sister-in-law, Celia and nephew, Malcolm Jr., all of Pennsauken; and his friend, Jean Cullen of Yardville.
A United States Army veteran, Mr. Hazel was an accountant, retired from the New Jersey Department of Health. He was an avid reader.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Maple Shade. Interment was at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater, Fla.
