Scott Kelly scored two goals and assisted on another as the West Windsor-Plainsboro North boys soccer team topped Red Bank Regional, 3-0, on Friday to capture the Central Jersey Group III championship.
After a scoreless first half, Kelly broke the tie with a goal off an assist from Alex Wonnell. The same pair connected again for the Knights’ second goal later in the half to make it 2-0. Eric Rosenbaum scored the third goal with an assist from Kelly.
With the win, the Knights advance to the Group III state semifinals aganst Ocean City, which topped Kingsway, 5-1, in the other semifinal. The game will be played on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Toms River North.
