HILLSBOROUGH — Theodore H. Covert died on Jan. 16 at Avalon Assisted Living located in Hillsborough. He was 75.
Born in Franklin Township, he lived in Somerset until moving to Hillsborough in 1964.
Mr. Covert worked as a carpenter for Riccadonna Home Improvements located in Manville.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict where he received the National Defense Service Ribbon and the Navy Occupational Medal.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in the Borough of East Milltone.
He belonged to the Sho-Shonie Bowmen and Ignitors gun clubs, both located in Manville.
His wife, Josephine A. (Wilczek) Covert, died in 2007.
Surviving are three sons, Jim of Califon, Bob of Thornhurst, Pa., and Kevin of South Lyon, Mich.; a daughter, Sharon Demers of Hopewell; two sisters, Frances Szczech of Hillsborough and Dolores Goska of Afton, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service was conducted Jan. 21 from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
