Irene M. Esposito

   BORDENTOWN CITY — Irene M. Michaloski Esposito, 92, died Friday at the Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, Ms. Esposito was a lifelong Trenton and Lawrence Township resident before recently moving to Bordentown City. She retired in 1981 after eight years employed with the New Jersey Education Association at its Trenton offices. Previously, she was employed for many years with Schoenfeld & Wolf Park Lane Handbags of Ewing Township. She also previously owned Irene’s Infant-Teen Shop on Brunswick Avenue.
   She loved music, having played the saxophone, clarinet, violin and bass in various local bands, churches, temples and community orchestras as well as the Trenton High School Marching and School Band. She was a jazz enthusiast and made the acquaintance of Ray Charles, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.
   Daughter of the late Isidor and Florence Gorczynski Michaloski, wife of the late Anthony S. Esposito, niece of the late Mary Wyzga, Victoria Rhea, Katherine Glapinski and Carolina Kedzierski, she is survived by her son, Joseph Milo Esposito of Moorhead City, N.C.; two daughters, Courtney N. Esposito of Lawrence Township and Kate Meredith Esposito of Bordentown City; her granddaughter and spouse, Rachel Esposito and Thomas Beulieu of Durham, N.C.; her grandson and his wife, Luke A. and Alena Esposito of Winterville, N.C.; and two great-granddaughters, Addelyn Grace and Elodie Joy Esposito.
   The funeral was held Tuesday from the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave. Funeral liturgy was celebrated Tuesday in St. Hedwig’s Church with family friend Msgr. Walter E. Nolan, pastor, St. Paul’s Church, Princeton, presiding. Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing Township.
