Bordentown Township voters passed both budgets in Saturday’s election.
In Bordentown Township Fire District 1, Fire Commission incumbents Richard Rosall and Thomas Dwier secured two three-year seats. Mr. Rosall received 63 votes, and Mr. Dwier recieved 65 votes.
The $624,440 budget was approved 59-11. The new tax rate will be $23.3 cents per $100 of assessed property value.
In Bordentown Township Fire District 2, both newcomers David Horsnill and Andrew Watson
won two three-year seats.
Mr. Horsnill recieved 85 votes, and Mr. Watson recieved 95 votes.
There were also several write-in votes, with Michael McSloy recieving
17 votes, and Jennifer Kafer and Don Kafer each recieving one vote
each.
District 2 also saw the passing of its $1,179,927 budget by a margin of 75-59. The new tax rate will be 23.3 cents per $100 of assessed property value.
