Catherine D. Harris, 83, of Lawrenceville, died Friday at Capital Health System at Mercer.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Hopewell Township area resident.
She was a retired analyst for the Department of Personnel, State of New Jersey. She was a member of St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Titusville.
Daughter of the late Joseph M. and Frances Green DeFreytas and wife of the late Alvin R. Harris, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Kathleen and Robert L. Waligunda of Lawrenceville, Valerie A. Harris of Lawrenceville; a sister and brother-in-law; Valerie D. and Lawrence L. Harris of Silver Beach and Ewing; a brother-in-law, Vernon Harris of Lambertville; four grandchildren, Laurie Thibodeau, Robert P. Waligunda, Catherine Ann Waligunda Salese, and Mary Katrina Waligunda; a great-granddaughter, Riley Thibodeau; six nieces, Nancy Dow, Barbara Froscione, Patricia Hall, Judy Petrangeli, Libby Gregg and Anita Harris.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held April 10 at 10 a.m. at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, 1370 River Road, Titusville.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, 07834-1365.
