Princeton Township
David Shea, 19, Michael Kuchta, 18, and Robert Wohl, 19, all Princeton University students, were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a 1999 Ford Expedition driven by Mr. Shea was stopped for speeding on Route 206 near Valley Road about 12:31 a.m. Friday, police reported. Police said after the stop it was determined that all three occupants of the vehicle were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernaliat. In addition, Mr. Shea was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and speeding. Mr. Kuchta was also charged with possession of fraudulent documents, an identification card.
Michael K. Dooey, 57, of Princeton Avenue, Hamilton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving following a traffic accident on Route 206 at Independence Drive about 8 p.m. Wednesday. Police said they received a report of an erratic driver on Quaker Road heading toward Princeton Pike and shortly thereafter the motor vehicle accident was discovered on Route 206. His car collided with a car driven by Sonja L. McGhee of Lumberton, police said. Mr. Dooey was also charged with reckless driving and careless driving.
Jaime E. Kirzner-Roberts, 29, of Corwin Hall, Princeton University, sustained injury to both her arms and was transported to University Medical Center at Princeton following a collision at the intersection of the Great Road and Pretty Brook Road about 3:31 p.m. Thursday. Police said Ms. Kirzner-Roberts failed to stop her 1995 Ford Escort in time and her car struck the rear of a car driven by Mathew A. Greek of Lindbergh Road, Ringoes. She was charged with careless driving.
Joanne Bartoletti, 63, of Lenape Court, Cranbury, sustained injuries to her right leg and foot after she was struck by a car while walking in the parking lot at 737 State Road about 12:35 p.m. Thursday, police reported. The driver of the car was Ward W. Sampino, 39, of Hamilton, police said. Ms. Bartoletti was transported to University Medical Center at Princeton. At the time of the report, the case was still under investigation and no charges were filed.
Laura Jean Terroni, 21, of Sinking Spring, Pa., was charged with failure to stop and yield at a stop sign following a collision at the intersection of Jefferson and Terhune roads about 8:25 a.m. Thursday. Ms. Terroni complained of head and neck pain and a juvenile passenger in the other car, driven by Kevin P. Connell of Cuyler Road, Princeton, sustained a hand injury. Both were taken to University Medical Center at Princeton for treatment.
Montgomery
A driver and his passenger were taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants following a traffic stop on Route 206 about 12:29 p.m. Thursday. Police said they stopped the car, driven by John Burl, 28, of Somerset for an equipment violation. He was found to have an outstanding warrant for $600 issued by New Brunswick Municipal Court. The passenger, Lillian Balaam, 43, of Somerset had an active warrant out of Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office for $35,000. Mr. Burl was charged with driving with a suspended license and view obstruction and was turned over to New Brunswick police officers. Ms. Balaam was transported to Somerset County jail to await transfer to Middlesex County.
West Windsor
Annette Lepore, 36, of Bordentown was charged with shoplifting after she tried to steal $182 worth of clothing from the Wal-Mart at Nassau Park shopping center at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, police reported.
Ada Argueta, 29, of Hamilton was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane following a traffic stop on southbound Route 1 at Quakerbridge Road at 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said they pulled Ms. Argueta’s car over for swerving and found her to be intoxicated.
Radouan Abderrahim, 26, of Trenton was charged with shoplifting after he allegedly tried to steal $184 worth of camera equipment from the Wal-Mart at the Nassau Park shopping center at 2:15 p.m. Thursday. Police said he stole a Kodak digital camera and a memory card and exited the store, and returned to steal a camera case. Loss prevention officers had found packaging from the goods in the bathroom and detained Mr. Abderrahim, according to the report.
Julio Martinez-Burgos, 36, of Trenton was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding following a traffic stop on southbound Route 1 at the MarketFair shopping center at 12:39 a.m. Saturday. Police said they stopped for Mr. Martinez-Burgos’ car for speeding and found him to be intoxicated. He also had a $1,000 for his arrest out of New Brunswick and was taken there after being processed by West Windsor police.
Deon A. Hunt, 29, of Hamilton was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane following a traffic stop on southbound Route 1 at Nassau Park Boulevard at 1:58 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Hunt’s car was pulled over for swerving and he was found to be intoxicated.
Danielle M. Griffith, 22, of Lawrence was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and having illegally tinted windows in a motor vehicle following a traffic stop on Old Trenton Road at Cottonwood Drive at 7:56 p.m. Sunday. Police said they originally stopped Ms. Griffith’s car for having illegally tinted windows and found her to be in possession of marijuana.
Plainsboro
An East Brunswick resident reported the theft of a Bluetooth cell phone handset and a detachable-face car radio with a combined value of $300 from a vehicle parked on Scudders Mill Road between 8 and 9:45 p.m. April 14.
A handbag containing credit and debt cards, cash and medical cards was stolen from a Maple Avenue residence between midnight Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday. A window screen was cut and a window lifted up to gain entry to the house, police said.
A Sayre Drive resident reported that a side window of his 2004 Porsche Cayenne was shattered between 8:15 p.m. April 15 and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $300.
A Windrow Drive resident reported that a 1996 Honda Accord was broken into between 2 p.m. April 15 and 9 a.m. Wednesday. The door lock was damaged and paint scratched requiring an estimated $500 in repairs, police said.
An employee of the Marriott hotel at 100 College Road reported the theft of a 2006 Kia between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A Sayre Drive resident reported the theft of a radar detector and GPS unit between 8 p.m. April 15 and 8 a.m. Wednesday. A side window was broken to gain entry. The damage and loss was estimated at $800.
A Windrow Drive resident reported that the gas cap to his car was removed between 3 p.m. April 15 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim stated that it appeared that someone tried to remove gasoline from his car, but he was unable to determine if any gasoline was actually removed.
A 10th-grade student at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North reported the theft of a black iPod Video valued at $225 from an unsecured backpack Wednesday.
The Ravens Crest East Management Office on Ravens Crest Drive reported the theft of $121 from a petty cash box between April 15 and Friday. Police said the cash box was pried open.
A Meadowlark Drive resident reported that someone “keyed” a 2008 Mercedes Benz E320 while the car was parked in the Plainsboro Plaza Shopping Center on Saturday.
Earl A. Burgess, 20, of Sherman Court, Plainsboro, was charged with possession of marijuana after police said they stopped his car after it exited Tamarron Drive and struck a curb Sunday, about 2:11 a.m. On talking with Mr. Burgess, a 5-inch blunt-style marijuana cigarette was seen lying on the rear floor of the car, police said. Mr. Burgess also received tickets for careless driving, driving with a suspended license and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
Herbert Quintanilla, 22, of Aspen Drive, Plainsboro, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said they saw a 1997 Mercedes Benz traveling on Plainsboro Road at a high rate of speed about 2:20 a.m. Saturday. He was also charged with speeding. He was later released. A passenger, Edwin Quintanilla, 23, of Aspen Drive was arrested on several warrants out of Cranbury Township, police said. He posted bail and was released.
Timothy A. Fryer, 21, of Thoreau Drive, Plainsboro, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said his car failed to maintain a single lane and had no tail lights illuminated while driving on Scotts Corner Road about 4:45 a.m. Sunday. He was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and improper maintenance of lamps.
