East Windsor
   Jeffrey W. O’Rourke, 20, of Kristopher Drive, Hamilton, was charged July 8 with eluding a police officer, disorderly conduct and numerous motor vehicle violations.
   Police said they saw Mr. O’Rourke passing traffic on the shoulder of Route 130 while traveling north at the intersection with Old Cranbury Road at 1:45 p.m. Police said they then attempted to stop him using emergency lights and siren, but he accelerated after turning south on North Main Street. Police reported seeing numerous motor vehicle violations as Mr. O’Rourke drove into Hightstown, and said that when he became stopped in traffic before the Route 33 intersection, he turned right into the Hightstown police department’s parking lot, where he stopped.
   He also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, failure to stop for an emergency vehicle, failure to stop for a traffic signal, improper passing, being an unlicensed driver, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.

   Two 17-year-old Cranbury boys face juvenile charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police said they responded at 2:03 p.m. Saturday to a report of two suspicious males leaving a car at Dickinson Lane and Cranbury Station Road and going toward the woods, with one carrying what was described as a shotgun. Police said they found the teenagers going further into the woods and ordered them to stop, then contacted them by cell phone and told them to leave the woods and return to their car. Police said they were taken into custody, and a BB rifle was confiscated. The teenagers were released to their parents.

   Security at the McGraw Hill Company reported July 9 that someone stole a $15,000 Crossbeam CP8400 circuit board from an office cubicle between 7 p.m. June 17 and 8 a.m. June 20.

   The owner of a black 2008 Mercedes Benz 350 reported that the car sustained about $3,000 in damage between 10 p.m. Monday and 12:55 a.m. Tuesday while parked on Airport Road. There were deep scratches to the paint and numerous puncture holes along the driver’s side doors and panels, police said.

   The owner of a red 2007 Nissan Maxima reported all four tires and rims stolen between 8 p.m. July 2 and 8 a.m. July 3 while the car was parked on Madison Drive. The tires were valued at $600, and the rims were valued at $400.

   The owner of a blue 2007 Volkswagen Passat reported the car scratched across the hood, roof, and both sides by a sharp object between 4 p.m. July 2 and 7:15 a.m. July 3 at Kensington Arms Apartments. Police said the owner estimated the repair cost at about $1,500.

   Leonel J. Gomez, 33, and Eliseo O. Candia, 44, both of Westerlea Arms Apartments, Hightstown, were charged July 11 with uttering a forged document, theft by deception and attempted theft by deception. Police said an employee at GB Check Cashing reported the two men attempted to cash two stolen person checks, each for $500, at 12:45 p.m. An investigation revealed the two also had successfully cashed two stolen checks for the same amount at the same location on June 30, police said. Mr. Gomez and Mr. Candia were transferred to the Mercer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail each.

   Two 16-year-old boys, one of Maxwell Avenue and the other of Windsor Regency Apartments, were charged Saturday with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped the two as they rode one bicycle at 2:20 p.m. on Wycoff’s Mill Road. Police reported finding five small baggies containing marijuana in the pants pocket of the Maxwell Avenue boy, and one such bag in the pocket of the Windsor Regency Apartments boy.

   Jennifer Wilczynski, 34, of Alessio Terrace, Trenton, was charged July 6 with theft. Police said the management at Clairmont Diner reported at noon that $2,033 had been stolen from the cash register over the past two to three weeks, and that an investigation implicated Ms. Wilczynski, an employee of the diner.

   Jill McGrath-Goodwine, 41, of Mildred Court, Hamilton, was charged Tuesday with shoplifting after police said they responded at 2:05 p.m. to a report of a suspected shoplifter at Target. Police said the suspected shoplifter entered a green 1998 Toyota. When police found the vehicle in the parking lot, they said they discovered a software CD for a Phillips MP3 music player under the passenger seat, and that Ms. McGrath-Goodwine had a Philips Go Gear 4 GB MP3 player, with a combined value of $130.

   An occupant of Brookwood Gardens Apartments reported $500 in cash stolen from a residence in the 800 building between 5:30 p.m. July 1 and the same time July 3. Police said there was no evidence of forced entry.

   Leonardo Rigoberto, 61, of The Orchard, was charged Saturday with shoplifting. Police said security at the Burlington Coat Factory saw Mr. Rigoberto remove the security tag from a Polo watch valued at $25, put it in his pocket, and try to leave the store at 4:50 p.m. When stopped, he gave the watch back but ran away, police said. On a description provided by the store, police said they located Mr. Rigoberto a short time later in the parking lot of building 120 of The Orchard.

   Three incidents of trees being damaged were reported over the last ten days. Between 2 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, 16 young pear and cherry tree trunks collectively valued at $2,000 were intentionally snapped at Ward’s Nursery on Windsor-Perrineville Road. On the 200 block of Old Cranbury Road, a resident reported that someone cut down a small cut-leaf Japanese maple tree, valued at $100, on his front lawn between 6 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday. At the Perry L. Drew Elementary School, two newly planted autumn purple ash trees, each valued at $300, were broken off at the ground between 2 p.m. July 9 and 12:30 p.m. July 10.

   A 15-year-old boy of Homestead Lane, Roosevelt, was charged July 10 with possession of fireworks after police said they saw him ignite the fireworks at 8:25 p.m. in a parking lot in the 600 block of Edison Drive.
Hightstown
   Someone twice unsuccessfully attempted to break into a residence in the 400 block of Stockton Street by cutting the screens of downstairs windows between 2 a.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, police said.

   A 16-year-old Hightstown boy was charged Tuesday with burglary, theft of moveable property, possession of stolen property, and credit card theft. Police said a residence on the 300 block of Park Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 3:23 p.m. July 9, with the stolen items totaling about $2,000. Police said an investigation led them to the boy, and they recovered a 19-inch flat screen TV, two credit cards, and an XBox 360 entertainment system and games, which were some of the items taken. The boy was released to his parents.

   Two bicycles were reported stolen from yards in the first half of the month. Between 2 p.m. and 2:09 p.m. July 9, someone took a girl’s purple 20-inch 10 speed Sierra Quest Mountain bike, valued at $100, from the driveway of a residence on the 100 block of Bennett Place. On the 200 block of North Main Street, someone took a purple 24-inch 200 series Trek Bicycle, valued at $300, from the back yard of a residence.

Reese Minnucci, 19, of Goldsboro, N.C., was charged July 9 with contempt of court and possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana. Police said they stopped Mr. Minnucci at 2:43 p.m. on Park Avenue for a $1,000 criminal warrant and found he had fewer than 50 grams of what was believed to be marijuana. He was released on $1,000 bail.

   Eugenio Del Rosario, 25, of Oak Lane, Hightstown, was charged July 9 with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving, unlicensed driving, and failure to inspect. Police said they responded to a report of a vehicle driving in circles for 20 minutes at the Grace N. Rogers Elementary School at 10:33 p.m. His blood-alcohol level was .17 percent, police said.

   Richard Gill, 44, of Bristol, Pa., was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, being an unlicensed driver, driving with a suspended license, driving with a license suspended as a result of driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving. Police said they stopped Mr. Gill on Mercer Street at 2:55 p.m. because his car matched a description of a possible drunk driver. He had a blood-alcohol level of .12 percent, police said. He also had a $1,500 Colts Neck warrant, and was turned over to Colts Neck police in lieu of bail.

   Milton Landivar, 27, of Westerlea Arms, and Andres Miranda, 21, of Deerfield Apartments, were charged Saturday with breach of peace. Police said the two lay intoxicated in the middle of the road on the 100 block of Springcrest Avenue at 1:59 a.m., and hid in the bushes upon seeing the police. Police said they also found an active warrant for Mr. Landivar.

   Cristian Diaz, 29, of Tullahoma, Tenn., was charged July 9 with unlicensed driving and possession of a fictitious driver’s license. Police said Mr. Diaz presented a fraudulent license as identification when they stopped him at 4:35 p.m. in the Stockton Street parking lot for a cracked taillight.

   Dana Desimone, 34, of Old York Road, East Windsor, was charged Sunday with contempt of court. Police said they stopped him at 7:24 p.m. on South Main Street after a random license plate check revealed a $300 Robbinsville warrant. He was turned over to Robbinsville police in lieu of bail.

   Craig Goldfond, 24, of Harbinson Road, East Windsor, was charged Sunday with contempt of court. Police said they stopped him at 2:47 a.m. on Route 33 for having an expired registration and found an active Monmouth County Probation warrant. He was turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department.

   Keith Pollack, 28, of Kellington Drive, East Windsor, was charged July 11 with contempt of court. Police said East Windsor police turned him over to Hightstown police on a $455 borough warrant.

   Miguel Pauta, 60, of Westerlea Avenue, was charged July 8 with contempt of court. Police said they stopped Mr. Pauta at 6:57 p.m. on Mercer Street after a random license plate check revealed a $200 Cranbury traffic warrant. He was turned over to Cranbury police.
