BORDENTOWN CITY
Gary Galloway, 28, of Lindenwold was charged with receiving stolen property, forgery and criminal attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud at 3:50 p.m. Monday. Police said Boyd’s Pharmacy on Farnsworth Avenue reported a forged prescription and Mr. Galloway told police he had purchased the prescription from a person in Philadelphia. He was released after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail.
Police said a vehicle was stolen from the Park Apartments parking lot and recovered several days later in Trenton. Police said a number of personal items were found lying in a parking space just after midnight on July 23 and the officers were able to locate the owner. Police said the articles appeared to have been left behind when the vehicle was stolen. Investigating officer is Patrolman Vincent Bernotas.
Police said a Prince Street resident reported his vehicle stolen from in front of his house at 11:13 p.m. July 22, where it had been parked for about 45 minutes. The vehicle had not yet been recovered as of Tuesday, police said. Investigating officer is Patrolman Bernotas.
Police said someone broke into a vehicle parked on West Chestnut Street overnight on July 23 and stole $350 worth of items. Police said the owner found her car stereo system and three compact discs had been taken. Police said the car was locked at the time of the theft.
A Walnut Street resident also reported her vehicle had been burglarized on July 23. Police said the vehicle had been unlocked and a car stereo and 30 compact discs were taken, worth $650.
FLORENCE
Terri Hunsicker, 44, of Florence, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and refusing to submit to a breath test at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday after police said they stopped her car on Broad Street, suspecting an intoxicated driver. Police said she failed roadside sobriety tests but refused to submit to breath tests at the station. She was released on her own recognizance after processing.
Kevin Alford, 32, of Burlington, was charged with several motor vehicle violations and outstanding warrants just after 3 a.m. Monday on Route 130 South.
Police said Mr. Alford was stopped for speeding in his tow truck and was unable to produce a valid driver’s license. Police said they found he had a driver’s license in New York, but it was suspended in New Jersey. Police said they also found warrants from Mount Holly and Hamilton for failing to appear on motor vehicle violations totaling $678.
Police said Mr. Alford was turned over to Mount Holly police in lieu of bail and also was issued a speeding summons and a summons for driving while suspended.
Abramo Cocciarelli, 25, of Florence, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:08 p.m. Friday after police said they saw him yelling obscenities at a group of people around Hornberger and Amboy avenues.
Police said he was asked to stop and leave the area but he continued to yell. He was released on his own recognizance.
Foster Mitchell, 33, of Florence, was charged on an outstanding warrant at 10:37 p.m. Friday on Delaware Avenue when police saw him walking through a parking lot of a business where he had left his vehicle after hours. Police said he was turned over to Trenton police on the warrant.
Robert J. Kiffer, 23, of Trenton, was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction and two drug-related offenses at 12:29 a.m. July 24 after police investigated a loud-noise complaint on East Fifth Street.
Police said they approached Mr. Kiffer and Antonio Vera, 23, of Florence, and saw what appeared to be an open container of alcohol in Mr. Vera’s front pocket. Police said Mr. Kiffer fled when officers went to frisk him after noticing a bulge in his pocket. Police said he was seen throwing a plastic bag on the ground and was caught a block away. The bag contained 49 smaller bags of marijuana, police said.
Mr. Kiffer was charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana under 50 grams in addition to the other charges, and lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
Mr. Vera was charged on an outstanding warrant and for having an open container of alcohol in public.
