Quarterfinals begin with two matchups
Swimming star Nina Rossi and running star Karen Swartz have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Princeton High’s Greatest Athlete contest. They are the final two athletes to reach the quarterfinals.
Rossi received 89 percent of the vote and topped former tennis and track star Scott Clark. Swartz narrowly edged former multi-sport star Paul Miles by securing 56 percent of the vote.
There are eight athletes left in the contest. Quarterfinal voting is now underway in two matchups. Former soccer stars Ron Celestin and Saskia Webber are facing each other in one matchup. In the other, former lacrosse and football star Jim Laverty is taking on former football and basketball star Darius Young.
