GIRLS LACROSSE
PG Lax (Princeton Girls Lacrosse) is opening its online registration on Nov. 15 for the 2009 spring lacrosse season.
PG Lax will have three team levels — 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade, and the season will run from early March to early June. Practice will take place two afternoons a week with games usually held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. All girls from beginners to advanced are welcomed.
PG Lax offers an eight week clinic for girls in kindergarten through second grade to be held once a week in April and May. The program cost is $80.
PG Lax registration fee is $295, which includes all league and club fees and a uniform. Registration forms can be down loaded from the PG Lax web site (pglax.com), and hard copies are available at the Princeton Recreation Department. Registration will close on Jan. 31, 2009.

LIGHTNING LACROSSE
Registration is now open for the spring 2009 season of Lightning Lacrosse. The Lightning Lacrosse Club is one of the area’s largest and oldest youth lacrosse organizations and is open to boys and girls from Cranbury, Plainsboro and West Windsor in grades K-8.
There is also a Little Laxers program for boys and girls grades K-2, which returns along with travel teams for kids in grades 3-8. The club’s programs focus on learning the game, sportsmanship and teamwork.

RIDER SOFTBALL
Rider University will host a pair of one-day softball clinics in February. On Feb. 1, there will be a hitting clinic from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. On Feb. 22, there will be a total offense clinic from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
The clinics will be held indoors at Rider’s Student Recreation Center. Team pricing and discounts are available.

ELITE THROWING
The Elite Throwing and Development training is geared to help get throwers arms ready for the spring season. The training program can help generate more velocity and greater distance on throws. No matter the sport, no matter the age group, the program is designed to help.
The program has access to a facility in Hillsborough classes are for both youth and high school athletes.

CPLL REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2009 Cranbury-Plainsboro Little League baseball and softball season is now open to all new and returning boys and girls ages 5-12 who live within Cranbury and Plainsboro. Age eligibility is determined by a player’s birth date.
Beginning with the Spring 2009 season, CPLL only accepts online registrations. New (non-returning) players who register online must separately mail in a copy of their birth certificate, medical insurance, and proof of residency (i.e. utility bill). A returning player is defined as “one who has participated in baseball or softball for the Cranbury-Plainsboro Little League (CPLL) in one of the preceding Spring seasons.”
To register, go to www.cpll.org and click on “Registration.” All registrations received after Jan. 1, 2009 will be subject to a $25 late fee (per family). Please remember to register early to avoid the late fee.
